Just a few hours before the eagerly anticipated pre-orders for the iPhone 16 series, Apple India’s website went offline, causing a delay for customers hoping to purchase the newest iPhones.

The iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max are expected to be in high demand, so buyers should be ready for a rush when pre-orders open soon.

Despite the enhancements in the iPhone 16 lineup, the prices remain unchanged from last year, offering the same cost structure across various storage options. Here’s a breakdown of the important details.

Apple Store to Resume Soon as Pre-Orders Loom

Pre-orders are set to open later today, and the Apple Store is expected to be back online shortly.

 Customers keen on securing their new iPhones should keep a close eye on the store, as pre-orders are scheduled to start at 5:30 PM IST. Shipping is slated to begin on September 20, according to Apple’s release schedule.

While the iPhone 16 series comes with many new features, Apple’s highly promoted "Apple Intelligence" functions will not be available immediately. 

These features will roll out with iOS 18.1 next month, but all iPhone 16 models are designed to support them.

iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max: Hardware Upgrades

The iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max models come with several upgrades, including larger screens, a new chipset, enhanced battery life, and a 48-megapixel ultra-wide triple camera setup. 

They also feature a new Camera Control button on the side of the phone, allowing for easier photo and video settings adjustments, including swipe gestures to manage zoom.

The standard iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus models also include the Camera Control and Action buttons, which were previously exclusive to the Pro models. 

These models come with new chipsets, larger batteries, and fresh color options.

iPhone 16 Prices in India

The iPhone 16 is available in various storage options. The base model with 128GB storage is priced at Rs 79,900, while the 256GB version costs Rs 89,900. The 512GB variant is priced at Rs 1,09,900.

 For the iPhone 16 Plus, prices start at Rs 89,900 for 128GB, with 256GB and 512GB versions costing Rs 99,900 and Rs 1,19,900, respectively.

The iPhone 16 Pro starts at Rs 1,19,900 for 128GB, with higher storage options of 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB available at Rs 1,29,900, Rs 1,49,900, and Rs 1,69,900, respectively.

 The iPhone 16 Pro Max, the premium model, starts at Rs 1,44,900 for the 256GB version, with the 512GB and 1TB models priced at Rs 1,64,900 and Rs 1,84,900, respectively.
